Essential Functions

The Epidemiology Analyst will assist with administrative efforts and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of health-related surveillance systems or epidemiologic studies, including outbreak investigation and analysis of epidemiology surveys.

The Lab Data Operations team works to monitor communicable disease data received from laboratories. The Epidemiology Analyst will serve as support to the lead epidemiologist in reviewing monitoring reports and responding to data requests. The position serves as lab liaison and is responsible for communicating effectively with laboratories and other stakeholders when issues arise.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree from an accredited college with specialization in epidemiology, biostatistics, or its equivalent;

Proficiency in SAS

Licensing and Certifications
A valid Class C California Driver’s License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Desired Skills
Excellent communication skills via phone and email, meticulous attention to detail, programming experience, ability to function as a team in a remote work environment; SAS and/or R, Excel, Microsoft Office.
Additional Information
  • Programming experience required for this position: - Experience with SAS and/or R.
  • Level of technical experience in SAS and/or R needed: - Beginner to intermediate proficiency.
